Tasks in phones???

We use (at least I do) our phones as daily notebooks of what’s going on and what needs to be done. But there’s one thing in particular that I don’t understand.

Let me start like this. I keep track of what needs to be done using tasks. Tasks using Outlook and Exchange. Together with appointments and emails this keeps me fully informed even when my laptop isn’t available.

What worries me is the absence of tasks in todays phones and the synchronization as first class citizens. Neither iPhone or Android or Windows Phone 7 support tasks out of the box. Not talking about integrating it with calendar views.

This brings me to the question: “What are you using as tasks or tasks obsolete?”.

I agree. Tasks are crazy important. I wish they synced better on my phone. When I had an ipad I was using todo I think. It simple, easy to use and kept me up todate with everything including bills. On my blackberry it has its own task but it doesn’t sync well or maybe I just haven’t. I’d be curious to know what people are using other then tasks

I’m also pissed of and sad altogether, because there are companies claiming having synchronization with Exchange, but actually synchronizing only contacts, emails and – mainly partially (ignoring some “colors” etc.) – calendar. Silently ignoring tasks. :( And Exchange is such a nice complete (everything else is not compact and fitting-together) solution for these items.

OTOH if somebody will show us better solution/service for tasks, no problem, bring it on.
